bad news is it's for 100+ years old only
Other part of the bad news is the $50.00 fee per inquiry
from the online search.
$30.00 too high, at least, if you ask me.
Not sure why it is so expensive from a digital search.

43. Complete revision to my Estevan web pages
after 6 years they were looking dated and links were broken
so spent last 2 days revising all the pages.

all the familiar Bienfait business names are there.

from the hospital I was born in
Bienfait Coalfields Union Hospital.

not the whole paper as not enough bandwidth for it all
It isn't perfect but gives you an idea

31. Jan 27, 2003-  Almost a month of retirement, and it is just great!
anyway back to changes- I have now added many more 1927 maps
of SE Sask, on my other web page.  Rootsweb has notified me
they also want to link to this page, which is great news
for anyone researching in this area.

Back from 2 weeks in Estevan
my mother Helen Gent is recovering from Surgery
so we all wish her well.
While in the Estevan Library, I met the Bienfait Librarian
and she asked me to tell everyone their time change
so will do it here, and on the Bienfait page
New Hours, Thursday 4-7

Boy big time change, and then Tripod hits me below the belt!
They have reduced my web space from 50 meg to 20megs, so drastic cuts had to be made.
I have rearranged everything, so if you run into a dead link, you will know why!
I have reduced the size of some of the pictures to save space also.
I will have to be very fussy what I add in the future
possibly removing some already there, and adding new ones.
Time will tell.
You will also notice, Tripod is clamping down on Bandwidth usage,
and 3 times in the past month, my site has been killed for an hour or 2 each time.
If you get a temp out of service warning from Tripod,
Don't fret, just come back in 2 hours, and it should work again.
These free sites are just not holding up right now,
Click on a few banner ads and help them out.
Please correct your bookmarks as need be, and sorry for the inconvenience

21. Always looking for something new, and now I have a new computer and new ATI radeon video card
I can capture videos and pics I have had around for awhile
that is what I have done on the Bienfait page
If you have windows media player on your machine
go to  http://members.tripod.com/~DRGent/bienfait.html
and part way down the page you will see Lycos Videocenter
under the box is where you will choose your connection speed
higher the better quality the video.  It isn't a clear as the original
due to the high compression involved for the net,
but pretty good all the same
This is called streaming video!
Had a video of Neudorf but a litle too jerky to copy here.

18. Tripod accidentally removed my web page on the weekend

Added a a few things to my Bienfait Book/Music Page also

15. JAN 4, 2001- Added Book, Music, and Video reference page for Bienfait
plus finished off the Church page for now at least.
It is starting to look like a Web page I am happy with now,
so will probably leave the Bienfait site for now,
and work on my family history for awhile.
There is still some early Settler info in the Bienfait history book
but it is more general and not just Bienfait
so it can be added later.
Always looking for pictures and understand
Mr Pete Gemby is the guy to see, so will be doing that this summer!
I have added my family tree info, 11,750 names to the Web
and just doing final privatizing of info before making the site public
It's a few years of work inputting all these names
that are related to me, thru many marriages, some of them!
there is close to 2,000 surnames to look at!
It boogles the mind!

of this huge dragline, inside and out
